SHOW CHOIR CAMP

Love to Sing? Love to dance? LOVE TO PERFORM? Learn it all with us this summer!
Join us for an exciting week of singing and dancing.
For students entering grades 5-9
Fee: $250 includes camp t-shirt, all materials, peanut free snack.
Directors:
Music – Kristine Pekar (Lyme-Old Lyme High School)
Choreography – Bethany Haslam (Dance Center of Old Lyme)
No prior dance experience required
– we will teach you what you need to know!
No audition required
– just a desire to become a better performer!
Each day begins with a vocal warmup, followed by music and choreography (dance) rehearsals to perfect a “show:” opening number, ballad, boys’ feature, girls’ feature, and exciting finale.
The week will culminate with two performances on Friday: one for the students enrolled in Park & Rec camp, and one for the family and friends of the Show Choir Campers.
A Camp Talent Show will also be held on the final day of camp.
What to wear:
T-shirt, leggings or sweatpants, dance shoes (any style or color, but NO sneakers, sandals or flip flops). You will need black bottom for the performances on Friday.
What to bring:
Lunch, water bottle (there is a filtered water bottle filling station in the Music Suite), a GREAT ATTITUDE and willingness to TRY NEW THINGS!
