May 9 –  Town Woods Park (30 Town Woods Rd, Old Lyme), Ball games on the playground, bring your own picnic
May 16 – Banningwood Preserve (19 Town St., Lyme) – We’ll hike the preserve, observing nature – FULL, WAIT LIST ONLY
May 23 – Cross Lane Recreation Area (Cross Lane, Old Lyme) – Pond walk and play on the accessible playground

Try a variety of outdoor activities around the theme of bubbles!

We will meet at a different nearby trail for a time to explore the nature around us. We will practice hiking in a group, following trail markers, practice responsibility and respect with our natural surroundings, sing songs, observe and explore together. Please bring waterbottle, sunscreen, bug spary and wear shoes good for hiking in the woods.

Music and Movement is an engaging class experience outside at LYSB. We will sing, play instruments, move our bodies, practice movement with equipment, and dance! This class will be outside so dress appropriately for the weather and bring your water bottle.
Monday, June 20 – If You’re Happy and You Know It, Freeze dance, drums, silly feet, parachute, and dancing with ribbons
Wednesday, June 22 – Slippery Fish, rhythm sticks, stretching and dancing with pom poms
Friday, June 24 – Wheels on the Bus, boom wackers, hula hoops, obstacle course, and dancing with scarves.

First Steps in Music is a music and movement class for you and your little one(s). Children and their grown up will be busy experiencing many different musical activities including bounces, wiggles, tickles, circle songs, ball-rolling songs, lullabies, stories, and more. The goal of the class is to help children begin their journey toward becoming tuneful, “beatful,” and artful human beings. The class is taught by Mallory Kokus, a certified First Steps in Music teacher, performing musician, and mother of three.

Fairies love Lyme/Old Lyme and we love them! Let’s get creative and make some fairy themed crafts to help make our homes a fairy friendly place. Each session we will make a fairy themed craft to take home and enjoy.
June 21 – Fairy Doors with popsicle sticks
June 23 – Fairy Lantern made in a mason jar
June 28 – Fairy Tower with terra cotta planters
June 30 – Flower Fairies made with clothespins



Wednesdays, May 25 to June 8, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Ages prenatal to pre-crawler, 3 weeks, free

A three week class that allows you to massage your baby while learning the full massage routine.  This is a relaxing time for both baby and parent with time allowed for socializing with other parents.  The International Association of Massage has been providing professionals, parents, and caregivers with information and expertise on infant massage since 1992.  Your IAIM instructor will guide you as you massage your baby, building on techniques and new nurturing strokes each week.  IAIM massage promotes positive bonding, stimulation, and relief from colic and gas pains.  It also promotes better sleep.  Questions? This is a create-your-own playgroup.  No facilitator is provided.  Make new friends while enjoying the LYSB facilities and grounds.  Would you like to have a playdate that doesn’t leave your home a mess?  Do you have friends you would like to catch up with? Use our space to gather on one or all of the four dates, and create your own playgroup.



Fridays, May 6 to 27, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Ages 2ish and up, 4 weeks, $32

A child friendly atmosphere allowing your child to have independence, to observe and play, with activities to inspire.  Playing is hard work.  Enjoy a variety of activities during this 4 week series.
