All programs are held indoors with strict COVID protocols, but we will be outside as much as possible.
Registration numbers are limited to ensure social distancing.  Masks required for ages 2 and up.

MONDAYS

EXPLORING COLORS
Mondays, April 19 to May 10, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., 4 weeks $32
Ages 2ish and up
Learn and experiment with colors using Art, Science and Sensory activities. This program will be held inside, with as much outside play as possible.

MONTESSORI MOTOR SKILLS CENTERS
Mondays, May 17 to June 14, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., 4 weeks $32
Ages 1.5 and up
An exploratory and independence building playgroup modeled after a Montessori style toddler classroom. A variety of experiences and discovery will be available for your little one. Children will participate in new centers each of the four weeks focusing on fine and gross motor skills. This program will be held inside, with as much outside play as possible.

Tuesdays, April 20 to June 15, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
All ages welcome
Please register for the Tuesday group(s) you will be attending so that we plan supplies and group numbers. If you find you cannot attend, please let us know. This program will be held inside, with as much outside play as possible.

CURIOUS WILDCAT EXPLORERS II at South Champlain Open Space
Wednesdays, April 21 to May 19, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., 5 weeks $40.00
Ages 1.5 and up
Inspired by 1000hoursoutside.com, let us help you tally up those hours! The Curious Wildcat Explorers will meet at South Champlain Open Space in Old Lyme. To reach the trail head and parking area go to the end of Meetinghouse Lane in Old Lyme (a cul-de-sac). We will start with a short hike along the blue trail. Our daily meeting schedule will include: a walk into the woods to our gathering place, morning circle time, a walk with independent explore time, a game/activity, and a closing circle. Please dress for the weather rain or shine!

CURIOUS WILDCAT EXPLORERS III: On the Go! 
Wednesdays, May 26 to June 16, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., 4 weeks $32
Ages 1.5 and up
In this session of Curious Wildcat Explorers, we will spend more time in independent play by exploring new locations. Our daily schedule will include: meet up at the trailhead with morning circle, short walk along the trail, and a closing circle.

PLANES, TRAINS, AUTOMOBILES & MORE
Thursdays, April 22 to May 20, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., 5 weeks $40
Ages 1.5 and up
Vroom vroom, beep beep, chugga chugga choo choo! Join us as we make crafts, read stories, and enjoy activities based on the vehicles that go places. This program will be held inside, with as much outside play as possible.
April 22nd – Automobiles: play shapes parking lot and make a sticky wall build-a-car activity.
April 29th – Trains: build an edible cracker train and play a train track obstacle course.
May 6th – Planes: make a plane in the clouds and fly little model planes.
May 13th – Boats: build two different kinds of boats and then have them race in a water tub.
May 20th – Construction Trucks: make a messy dump truck and play in a construction sensory bin.

OUTDOOR MUSIC & MOVEMENT II
Thursdays, April 22 to May 20, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 5 weeks $40
Ages 1.5 and up
Spring is here so let’s dance! Music and Movement is an engaging class experience outside on the LYSB property. We will sing, play instruments, move our bodies, practice movement with equipment, and dance! This class will be outside so please dress appropriately for the weather.  Rain cancellations are possible (you will be contacted in advance).
April 22nd – Singing Little Green Frog, playing shaky eggs, stretching activities, rackets, and dancing with pompoms.
April 29th – Singing Little Peter Rabbit, rhythm sticks, obstacle course, tossing a ball to a target, and dancing with dance ribbons.
May 6th – Singing Finger-band is Coming to Town, playing maracas, balancing activities, silly feet, and dancing with hula hoops.
May 13th – Singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, playing tambourines, parachute activities, bouncing balls, and dancing with fans.
May 20th – Singing Wear a Smile, playing drums, obstacle course, ball and cup, and dancing with umbrellas.

POLLINATOR SUPERHEROES!
Thursdays, May 27 to June 17, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., 4 weeks $32
Ages 1.5 and up
Let’s learn about the pollinator superheroes! The pollinators help make our world beautiful and delicious. We could use more of these superheroes! Each week we will have crafts, activities, and stories all based on a different pollinator. This program will be held inside, with as much outside play as possible.
May 27th – Butterflies: make a flying butterfly toy and do a cheese powder pollination activity.
June 3rd – Honeybees: make a bee craft and run in a nectar relay.
June 10th – Hummingbirds: create pompom hummingbirds and plant some plants that hummingbirds like the best.
June 17th – Wasps: build a wasp’s nest craft and make a bee bath to take home for your yard.

Ages 1.5 and up

NATURE CONNECTIONS
Fridays, April 23 to May 21, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., 5 weeks $40
Ages 1.5 and up
Teach little ones to build a stronger connection with nature. Explore using natural materials in play time. This program will be held inside, with as much outside play as possible.
April 23rd – Gardening, seed planting and playing in the dirt.
April 30th – Painting with nature, using plant dyes and mud as paint and making our own paintbrushes with various natural materials
May 7th – Nature Sensory Bins and Nature Soup
May 14th – Under the Sea Sensory bottle
May 21st – Homemade Dandelion and Lavender Play Dough, make your own play dough that is colored and scented with flowers

SIMPLE SUMMER FUN
Fridays, June 4th to June 18, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. $5 per day
These programs will be held both inside and outside, depending on the activity.
