Child Passenger Safety Technician will be leading this informative discussion.  Did you know that only one out of five car seats are installed correctly? Are you familiar with new CT laws on height and weight? If you have questions about recalls, booster seats, forward facing, airbags, and many more than this open forum is for you. Children welcome. This playgroup for one-ish year olds features 75 minutes of hands on activities, encouraging e the exploration of sensory experiences with a variety of unique materials. Leave the mess to us while your child experiments with textures, creative expression, & simple construction, while interacting with other children.  Led by Melanie Lee.

For new and expecting moms and parents of children up to 12 months. This group is casual, comfortable, and informative. Weekly topics of interest are based on the diversity of your own questions and concerns commonly found during the first year of parenting. Meeting in the child friendly atmosphere of Mimi’s Place a LYSB. Join anytime.

Session II: Infant and Baby Massage
October 17 to October 30, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., three sessions, $30
Ages: Newborn to Crawler 
Private appointments also available.
Learn to massage your baby is with the help of an IAIM Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI). The strokes and of massage are easier to grasp when demonstrated by experienced instructors. Pressure, rate, rhythm, the length of the massage, respect, and bonding, why babies cry, baby’s body language, relaxation, and parent empowerment are some of the skills and topics you will learn.

Session I: Parachute Play
September 13 to October 18, six weeks $48
Explore a variety of new group activities each week. Learn fun parachute games, make a floating cave, and send balls to the sky. Children will also have free time to enjoy Mimi’s Place.

Session II: Movement
October 25 to December 6, (no group 11/22) six weeks $48
Monkey See. Monkey Do. Can you balance, stretch, & run in place too? Walk real fast, then real slow, play some music as you go! A fun way for your child to discover the joy of movement. Children will also have free time to enjoy Mimi’s Place.

Calling all little ghosts and goblins.  For ages 0 to 2nd grade, join us at LYSB for some Halloween fun, crafts, games and Music with Margie.  Join us at the Old Lyme Firehouse for a costume parade at 6:30 to march down Lyme Street behind a fire truck!  Registration is not necessary.

Sunday, December 10, 2017, 12:30-2:30 p.m. An LYSB tradition! Your family will make your own Gingerbread House to take home. Leave the mess with us! We supply all the ingredients. Bring your camera! $10/house. REGISTER

Meet moms looking to exercise in a fun environment with their babies in tow. This group is for moms interested in the total body fitness classes offered by Stroller Strides. Taught by nationally certified fitness instructors specializing in pre and postnatal fitness all class are designed to be challenging for all fitness levels.
